We lived in our house for 5 years before we started this kitchen and laundry room remodel. So we knew what worked (not much) and what does not work (almost all) for our family. One of the biggest annoyances with our old kitchen was the pantry.

This pantry to reveal the time! This is the old pantry.
It was not big enough, the shelves are not positioned properly, and there was a lot of wasted space. For example, the spacing between the shelves was too small to keep up a box of cereal or adapt some of my containers. Yet there were 4 'above the top plate are not used.
In our last house, I added shelves to the Office specifically to meet our needs, and it was wonderful! (It was a long time at the beginning of my journey blogging, and the picture quality is terrible!) I really missed this feature.

The design of the pantry
When the kitchen designer we hired first saw our kitchen, the first suggestion is that we eliminate the pantry and go with pantry cabinets. Apparently it's the cool thing to do in 2019. While I like the look of the pantry cabinets in other cuisines, I knew that those who work for our family.
